I drew "Las Boras Boras" in 1996-1998. When I drew the first one, I was 15 and a
half years old. These years of my teenagehood were the worst and best years of
my life and it's unlikely this will ever change in the future. These were the
years
when I realised that I am a little different than other people, I have a
twisted mind and I like the ugly instead of the beautiful.
I drew them on my
school notebook with a simple pen I used in school and I colored them with
the colored pencils my mother had given me as a birthday present when I became
10. I was drawing these instead of doing my homework and once my teacher saw
some of my drawings and she suggested me to go see a psychiatrist. The drawings
were done roughly with not much attention and I never preserved them in any
way. I just kept them because they had some emotional value for me since these
drawings express my inner feelings and the deepest parts of my personality.
My drawings are original, but there is a great influence from various important
or unimportant things of my life, like violence (John Lake), obese people
(Bella Manela), television (Robert Brown), humour (Senior Nino),
medical books (Voracious Implantation), art (Carlos Mensa) and friends. (Dr.
Mortcraft)
There is also a story of "Las Boras Boras". They are supposed to exist
underground a prison of Detroit (I don't know why particular there) and
prisoners consider them an infamous and vicious prison-gang responsible for
the mysterious disappearance of various prisoners. Noone knows if they are
monsters, aliens or experiments of the goverment. Their leader, Bora Bora is an
underground god-like entity of enormous dimensions.
